CCJ President attends World Forum on Rule of Law in Internet in China

The Supreme People’s Court of China hosted a forum on the rule of law and the internet in December 2019. High-ranking jurists from approximately 20 countries and regions were invited to attend the sessions in Wuzhen, to engage in discussion on navigating internet advancements. Caribbean Court of Justice President, The Honourable Mr Justice Adrian Saunders stated, “the Conference seeks to promote the adoption of appropriate norms and standards in the world of cyberspace, not only nationally, but also internationally, among nations.” On his return, the President indicated how impressed he was with the Court technology that he saw in use in China where, among other things, artificial intelligence and other high-tech solutions are used to enhance efficiency and court customer satisfaction.
